Wages for the Corrupt

From an op-ed piece title Stop Wage Payments to the Corrupt.

According to the National Civil Service Agency (BKN), the government is spending a huge amount of money on the salaries of civil servants who have been convicted of graft.

Out of the 2,674 civil servants that were convicted of corruption, the agency said that only 317 were dishonorably dismissed, meaning that the remaining 2,357 are still active as civil servants and receiving a monthly salary, which the BKN estimates is costing the state as much as US$1.6 million per month.
