With Indonesia hosting the 2018 Asian Games in Jakarta and Palembang this year, sports fans are no doubt hoping that the home field advantage will boost the country's medal tally.

Critics however say that like everything else in Indonesia, funding for quality training and facilities which would enable the country's athletes (Atlet) to compete at the international level is being undermined by rampant corruption and mismanagement.
